MILENNIUM MOONMAN -CHRIS SPOLLEN

Welcome

A brief history:

Chris Spollen received his art training at Parsons School of Design. He participates in a wide variety of markets especially in advertising, publishing and editorial illustrations. His current batch of clients have been AT&T, Bell Labs, Boy's Life, Byte Magazine, Citibank, Consumer Reports, Macworld, Novell, PC Magazine, Reader's Digest, Tandem, Var Business and Woman's Day.

Chris has worked with methods such as ink/template, photostat and xerox to produce a high contrast image; developing a design oriented architectural approach to illustration in which forms are fitted into the overall scheme, like pieces of a puzzle. His current use of the computer has made his style more fluid. "Mediocrity, I have found, is not long hidden from one's fellow artists,"he says, "I am constantly searching for innovations in both style and technique."

Besides having interviewed by Byte, HOW, Macworld, Print, and Step-By-Step, he has also made appearances as a guest lecturer at the Art Director's Club of Long Island, the Graphic Artist Guild, The Rochester Art Director's Club and is listed in the Contemporary Graphic Artists Who's Who and the hot 1999 edition digital artist guide book, Illustrator's WOW Book.
